We recommend that your PC computer meets or exceed these system specifications to power the full Rift experience. If you’re not sure what hardware you have, you can use the Oculus Rift compatibility check tool to see if your computer meets our minimum or recommended system specs.

    Troubleshoot
  • Black screen when playing videos – See our below FAQ
  • Videos are stuttering: Open GeneralConfig.txt inside Config folder and active the native mode=active
  • To avoid problems such as black screen or flipped image, we recommend to install the newest Klite codecs, from Ninite or from Codecguide- See our FAQ below
  • If you have any other problem, please use the form at the bottom of this page to contact us

HAVING PROBLEMS OR RECEIVING A BLACK SCREEN?

Make sure to update your video codec and LAV filters.

We use HEVC h265 video codec for our 4K videos. Most modern VR ready PCs can handle our VRP videos. But there are cases, where you might need to update your video codecs, to get the smoothest playback.

We recommend using k-lite codec pack. They’ve been around for a long time and always deliver very good video codecs.

Download K-Lite Codec Pack Full

Once installed, please open the ‘Codec Tweak Tool’. In the next window select ‘Preferred decoders’.

Once there for H.264 please, select in both columns ‘ffdshow’. If any issue happens, please try ‘LAV Video’ instead.

The press ‘Apply & Close’

PLAYSTATION 4

This section provides you with the relevant requirements to operate your Playstation 4 VR headset

Steps for Set up:

Step 1: Go to the PlayStation Store. Navigate to the app section, and download LittlStar VR Cinema. This is a great app for VR. It is also free, and allows you to play the best 3D VR Bangers videos.
Step 2: Download PS4 or PS4 pro videos from VRP website.
Step 3: Prepare your USB hard drive or flash:
USB should be formatted as exFAT or FAT32
Create a folder named “Littlstar” at the root (top level) directory. The name of the folder is case-insensitive
Place all downloaded videos in this folder. Otherwise, they will not be able to be read by the app
Step 4: Remove the USB flash drive from your PC or laptop and put it into the USB port on your PS4. Open up the LittlStar VR Cinema app while wearing your PlayStation VR headset (make sure it’s turned on!) Navigate to the Library option, and you should now see VRP videos. Click on play and enjoy!
